Wendy 曾是美丽而浪漫的女郎。梦想着做一名优秀的教师。有一年她去了Muskoka的度假屋。欢快的家庭聚会后，命运就此改变。手上出现红肿，身体日渐疼痛和虚弱，渐渐地，她不能拼读孩子们的名字，开始心悸并失去知觉。两年后，她不仅辞去所热爱的教职，讲话也越见艰难。她以为会离开她两个可爱的孩子而去。。直到有一天，她爸爸在报纸上发现了Lyme 病的文章，病症和她的女儿一样。在做了一系列测试后，发现她当年就是被一个小虫Tick 咬过而得了Lyme 病。
Wendy的女儿是在Muskoka 的度假后出生...小姑娘曾是运动好手。现在每天早晚一堆药，想跟着朋友去滑雪却不能，因为身上带着心电图仪. 她不知那些她所热爱的体育运动能持续多久。有一天也许要告别学校...
Wendy 现在有了新的梦想，就是把她的经历和更多的人分享，希望没有人再经历她和她的家庭所经历的痛苦。
